Thank you!

Thank you to all the participants and those who came out to be a part of the very first Art Kaleidoscope event last Tuesday! Your support and participation made this event a great start and a success!

I'd like to take a moment to apologize to the participants for the quality of our slide projector. It was a little bit too bright! We have fixed the issue and are ready to show your work again in February!

Thank you again for coming! Suggestions or comments about the first show are welcome!
Please email me at artkaleidoscopeharrisburg@gmail.com

Art Kaleidoscope - First Event! January 25, 2011 6-9pm.

Art Kaleidoscope is a monthly gathering for a slideshow of artwork presented to the community by a variety of local artists. The first event will be held at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore, 1302 N 3rd Street, Harrisburg, PA on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 6pm to 9pm.

Local artists are invited to sign up to participate in a 5-minute spot in a two-hour long slideshow. The slideshow is accommodating to artists working in a wide range of mediums such as painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, film, music, writing, etc. Artists are encouraged to share new, old, on-going or in-progress projects.

This will be an excellent opportunity for artists to meet other local artists, be inspired by each other, engage in discussions, potentially coordinate future collaborations or to find out whose light meter they can borrow in a pinch.

The goals of this monthly gathering are to showcase a variety of artwork by many local artists and to bring together artists and art patrons in this community.

Interested artists can sign up at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore café until Friday, January 21, 2011 at 9pm. Further instructions for preparing artwork for the slideshow format will be given to artists upon signing up. Spots in the slideshow are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
